Let’s just check it out to see which phone will perform better, in accordance with the superiorities and features.
Connectivity:
The Galaxy S 2 comes with 3G network/HSDPA with 21Mbps and HSUPA with 5.76Mbps, completed with the WiFi b/g/n, DLNA and WiFi Direct facilities. Add to that, transferring data would be easy via Bluetooth 3.0+HS and a microUSB 2.0 with OTG.
On the other hand, the Atrix 4G comes with 3G/HSDPA running at 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps. Users would find the exact same wireless support of WiFi b/g/n and DLNA, but the Bluetooth is coming with the version of 2.1, A2DP and EDR. There’s also microUSB 2.0 on the phone, anyway.
Size & Weight:
The Galaxy S2 measures 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm and weighs in at 116g, while the Atrix 4G measures 117.8 x 63.5 x 10.1 mm and weighs in at 136g.
Camera:
When the 8-megapixel camera is confronted with the 5-megapixel one, don’t you think the 8-megapixel camera is the winner? Well on paper the Galaxy S2 wins the competition with its 8-megapixel camera, which is built with autofocus, LED flash and 3264×2448 pixels. To give you more fantastic snapping experience, the Galaxy S2 is featured with geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection and image stabilization.
The Atrix 4G should concede the 5-megapixel camera is not too powerful to fight the Galaxy S2′s camera. But, it’s not something to let you down, because this camera is impressive enough with 2592×1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash facilities, featuring geo-tagging and image stabilization.
Display:
It isn’t needed to compare it when the Super AMOLED Plus screen technology is acknowledged as the screen of the Galaxy S2. Moreover, this 4.3 inches screen supports 480×800 pixels and features Swype text input. The Atrix 4G’s 4.0 inches display looks nice, anyway, but is only built with TFT capacitive touchscreen and 16M colors, measuring 540×960 pixels. The good news is the higher pixels of resolution would make it a very good handset with crisp display.
Performance:
The Galaxy S2 is reported to run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), supported with the dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and Orion chipset. Meanwhile, the Atrix 4G comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo), sporting the dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with ULP GeForce GPU and Tegra 2 chipset. Both phone have similar processor performance, so we need to wait for the real test to reveal the winner. However, Andorid 2.3 on Galaxy S2 should perform better than ANdroid 2.2 Froyo on Atrix.
Storage:
As for storage we find it both phones are shared, in which in comparison, the Galaxy S2 comes with 16GB/32GB storage and 1GB RAM, and there’s still an expandable microSD which is upgradable up to 32GB, while the Atrix 4G offers 16GB storage with 1GB RAM and expandable microSD up to 32GB.
Battery life:
The Galaxy S2 hasn’t confirmed it how long the handset would last with the Li-Ion 1650 mAh installed inside. But the Atrix 4G comes clearer, with Lithium 1930 mAh the handset performs for 250 hours of standby time and 9 hours of talk time.
Conclusion:
It’s completely difficult deciding which phone is better, because each comes with the advanced technology of mobile phone. The Galaxy S2 grabs attention with the Super AMOLED Pus display and impressive 8-megapixel camera, while the Atrix 4G uses the fantastic processor, supporting the 4G capability.
